iFSim.Ready V3 Is Now Available: A New Experience from the Ground Up
iFSim.Ready V3 is now available. iFSim.Ready is the interface software CnTech develops for its cockpit hardware. To improve the user experience across the board, CnTech drew on years of cockpit hardware development and adopted a large body of user feedback to build iFSim.Ready V3, a new generation of the software. The interface design and the way users operate the software have been rebuilt entirely. From first launch through configuring, calibrating and testing the cockpit, every step is clear, intuitive and efficient.
New UI, Streamlined Interaction
To make the software easier for new users to pick up, iFSim.Ready V3 uses a clean graphical interface that first-time users can learn quickly. The Overview page shows the online status and firmware version of every panel, grouped by cockpit area, so the state of the entire cockpit is visible on a single screen. On first launch, a 14-step Getting Started guide walks users through the setup before their first flight.
Automatic Hardware Detection
Since users run a wide range of hardware versions, iFSim.Ready V3 automatically detects the USB-CAN adapter and the connection status of each panel. Older hardware is also compatible and connects directly.
Easy Visual Calibration
With typical cockpit software, calibrating flight controls can be a tedious, complicated process. To address this common problem, iFSim.Ready V3 provides a simple visual calibration process with a guided mode: move the lever to each position as prompted and capture it to complete calibration. A calibration curve shows the lever position and dead zone in real time.
Online Firmware Updates
To simplify routine maintenance, iFSim.Ready V3 includes online firmware updates. For A320 cockpit hardware, users select the firmware file, and the software erases, writes, verifies and restarts the board in one step, with no complicated manual procedure. (Older hardware is not yet supported.)
Simple, Clear Aircraft Setup
To help users set up their aircraft quickly, iFSim.Ready V3 shows each aircraft on its own card, with a dedicated official profile and integration guide. The guide opens directly from the card. Profiles for six A320-family aircraft, including ToLiss, Fenix and FlyByWire, ship with the installer together with the X-Plane plugin and the FMGS hardware modules. To deploy, users select the aircraft in the software. The user manual is included as well.
Free License, Data Fully Retained
The iFSim.Ready Free Edition remains free, with no registration or activation required. When moving to a new PC, users simply install the software and start using it. To spare users from reconfiguring, settings, calibration data and profiles are stored separately and fully retained when the software is updated or reinstalled.
Users upgrading from V2 should follow the upgrade instructions in the user manual.
