CNFSimulator® flight training devices are built for regulated pilot training environments, where a simulator has to reproduce the aircraft accurately enough for logged instruction — not merely feel convincing. The programmes below define how our devices are engineered, evaluated and documented.

EASA FNPT II
Our A320 full-cabin simulator carried its operator through qualification.
An A320 full-cabin simulator built by CnTech was assessed in service and took its operator to FNPT II qualification — the European standard for instrument rating and procedural training. The qualification is held by the operator; the flight deck, control loading and systems behaviour that passed evaluation are ours.

CCAR-60 · FTD Level 5
Flight Standards Department, CAAC
CCAR-60 is the airworthiness regulation governing flight simulation training devices, structurally aligned with FAA 14 CFR Part 60. Level 5 is the highest fixed-base FTD grade below a full flight simulator: it requires an aircraft-specific aerodynamic model, correctly loaded control forces, and systems that respond as the real aircraft does under both normal and failure conditions. CNFSimulator.FTD.DA40 and CNFSimulator.FTD.DA42 hold CCAR-60 certification, alongside our Cessna 172 devices.

EASA FNPT II

FNPT II is the European category used for instrument rating and procedural training. Our A320 full-cabin simulator has been through this evaluation with an operator and passed, covering cockpit layout, instrument response and navigation-system behaviour. Operators pursuing FNPT II therefore start from hardware that has already cleared the standard rather than from an untested baseline.

Our hardware and flight model architecture is developed against the Part 60 Level 5 qualification performance standards, covering aerodynamic programming, control loading characteristics and systems fidelity. Devices are prepared with the objective test data and QTG documentation an FAA evaluation requires.

Our A320 systems are developed to CAAC FTD Level 4 standards, covering systems logic, flight deck layout and instrument behaviour. The flight deck is built for two pilots working as a crew — dual controls, cross-side instrumentation and shared systems logic — as required for airline-oriented training.
