CNFSimulator.A320 flight simulator is showing on TVB's "The Airport Diary II"

The Airport Diary II, a hit aviation-themed drama currently airing on Hong Kong's TVB, features the CNFSimulator.A320 flight simulator.
Multiple live-action cockpit scenes in the series were filmed using the A320 simulator manufactured by CnTech. All cockpit equipment on screen — including the overhead panel, main instrument panel, center pedestal, side sticks and throttle quadrants — consists of authentic physical hardware. The footage clearly shows avionics panels such as the EICAS displays, MCDU and FCU in fully operational condition.
Professional-Grade Hardware That Withstands High-Definition Lens Scrutiny
Film and television productions impose extremely high standards for cockpit scene fidelity. With audiences holding a well-established frame of reference for the A320 cockpit, any proportional inconsistency or missing detail would be readily detected.
CnTech’s A320 flight simulator adopts a 1:1 full-scale replication of the Airbus A320 cockpit layout. Its cockpit dimensions, panel positions and switch arrangements are identical to those of the real aircraft. The tactile response of the side sticks, travel range of the throttle quadrants and force feedback of the rudder pedals are all calibrated to match the operational mechanics of the actual aircraft, while all instrument displays and lighting systems function as intended.
The TVB production team opted to shoot live-action footage on a genuine simulator instead of constructing a prop cockpit — a choice that in itself serves as a testament to the system’s hardware quality. Under high-definition lenses, the cockpit’s metallic finish, panel craftsmanship and instrument precision all hold up to close inspection.
Deep Hardware-Software Integration, Dual Validation for Training and Screen Production
Hardware forms only the foundation; the core strength of CnTech’s A320 simulator lies in the deep integration between its hardware and software.
The complete system delivers high-fidelity simulation of the A320’s multiple airborne systems, including electrical, hydraulic, fuel, flight control, auto-flight and engine systems. It supports end-to-end operational training covering cold and dark start, normal flight operations and fault handling, with cross-linking logic across all systems fully aligned with that of the real aircraft.
These simulators have previously been delivered to flight training institutions in Australia, Hong Kong, Malaysia and other regions, where they are deployed for pilot type rating training and recurrent training programs. Its appearance in the TVB drama marks a cross-sector application of professional training equipment in film and television: the very same system that meets the rigorous standards of civil aviation training also delivers authentic, convincing flight visuals on screen.
